Instructions
  1. PUT all ingredients into loaf pan of your bread machine and set the cycle for “dough”. If you are using a Kitchen Aide or Bosch, follow the mixing directions for your machine.
  2. REMOVE dough when time is up. PUNCH down, COVER and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Flour Counter and ROLL dough to one inch thick.
  4. CUT with round biscuit cutter, or you may pull off chunks of dough and roll these between you hands or on the counter to make nice balls of dough–be sure to keep them uniform in size.
  5. PLACE on prepared cookie sheet or large rectangular glass dish. The closer together you put the rolls, the taller they will be. I usually place them barely touching each other.
  6. COVER and LET RISE in warm place till double, approximately 20 minutes. They are ready to put in a preheated oven when your finger leaves a slight indention in the dough.
  7. BAKE at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

REMOVE them from the baking pan and place on a cooling rack.

Recipe Notes

Check while the machine is kneading to see if additional flour is needed. The ball of dough should move freely without sticking to the sides of the pan. When you push on the dough with your finger, it should feel nice and pliable. If it is too hard or firm, add a tablespoon of water and check again after kneading continues. A firmer dough will make drier dinner rolls and a nice pliable dough will make tender rolls.
